Need To Train My Eye And My Aim
I've been playing games like Hunt: Showdown and Hell Let Loose, where it's often necessary to spot and hit TINY hidden targets at L O N G range.

I gotta be able to spot targets in the bush, and hit them very precisely. Often using ironsights, not any kind of optic.

So I'm looking for an aim trainer app that will help me with this, but every one I find is just some kind of flick-shot trainer like AimLab or AimBeast. I'm sure they're fine, but they're training different skills than what I actually want to work on.

Also, AimLab is a mess. I've uninstalled it. What a piece of trash, constantly begging for money and cluttering my UI with hidden info that it'll only reveal if I pay its freaking ransom. Who the hell wants that?

Idk man it sounds like you're looking for cheat software
Best way to train your eyes and aim is in game against others.
Training your eyes is a bit of a red herring, because your eyes aren't in need of improvement - you are not looking into the distance. You're still looking at the same distance of a flat screen. It's an illusion.

So you need to train your brain to recognise small things quickly, and your reaction and finger skills are the PRIMARY thing to train.

What improved things greatly for me was something purely by chance.

I'm disabled and I have certain issues mostly with grip. Some days are fine, others not. I hated regular mice. So I got a Logitech trackball mouse about 20 years ago and never looked back.

Takes a couple of days to get used to it, but once you have I've yet to meet anyeone that didn't prefer them.

For me they're far more quick and easier to get to grips with.

Haha absolutely not

Yeah, but it would be nice to have a drill that directly helps me train this skill, without having to spend a lot of time in-game looking for targets. Especially when a lot of my game time is spent doing other stuff, like supporting my team or hunting clues or whatever.

This is interesting! Okay... I'll try to get my hands on a trackball and see how it goes. Thank you!
If you're trying to get better at a game, playing that game (or sometimes watching someone who is good at the game, but not for this specific skill) is the best way to do it.

If you want to look for small things in a messy environment I can recommend the Where's Waldo book series.

Also, small point, but they are built like tanks and tend to just work for years.

The best way to improve is to play the actual game, training on something else will not make you any better. It's like saying you'll practise playing football to get better at rugby.
