civ vi wont start (jan 2025)
i've reloadedd into steam and it still doesn't start?

I had this issue. Make sure you're running the appropriate version it asks from the pop up menu when you press the PLAY button.

If you're using another frontend (like Playnite) or a cheat utility (like WeMod) it will likely automatically run the wrong version.

If that's the case, simply revert to starting it within Steam, chosse the correct version (DX11 or 12) then start your cheat thing.
