Moving from apartment with wired 500 mbps to Wifi 600 mbps
How cooked am I?

Each unit has its own network… I’ve always had my own modem/router and at any given time it’ll just be my gaming PC utilizing it and maybe one other device (partners tablet or a streaming TV).

I am worried about FPS gaming like how I sometimes play OW2 or CSGO2. How about rocket league?

To clarify, partner and I are moving in together hence the change.

Currently I have wired connection for my PC and all other devices are WiFi (2 TVs (Roku and fire stick) and a PS4).

When we move in it’ll still be the same 2 TVs and only adding her laptop and tablet and she always is on WiFi only but with a very terrible shared apartment building connection.

New place is each units WiFi is its own…
How cooked depends on partner
But imho wired is more reliable then wi-fi
MP games don't need that much bandwidth to run properly on their servers. You'll be fine.

:nkCool:
Speed isn’t the issue. Won’t latency be?
You can always run your own cables to the access point and plug in that way. I lived in an apartment where I ran my own wired network with the desktop, laptop and printer all having their own wired connection.
Wired is always better and more stable than WIFI. I tested this myself at my own house. I had more disruptions on WIFI versus Wired. Even after moving my router several times to try to get a stronger signal, wired worked better. Always use wired unless you cannot.

Correct. Tested this myself with my own network setup.
