guess i cant play this game normally on steam after 2024

the game called "Humanity Asset" on steam
i just wanted achievement and play time

tested on
windows xp didnt yet
windows 7 30 fps work fine
windows 8/8.1 nope yet
windows 10 being locked at 3 fps (cheat engine speed wont help u)
windows 11 nobody using it
linux ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up cant run game with proton

cmon plz stop saying it bad game this is game that i enjoy so much
i am not sure what do i do? that game community is dead

atleast can anyone have method to make this game work on linux?
i dont want to get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up after 2024

Several of those work fine for me in Windows 10.
I runa Win10 MSI laptop.

Dead Island works straight up no worries.
Dead Island Riptide - same.
Dead Rising 3 - same.
Defense Grid - same. Never had so much as an issue with this game over the years on various OSes.
Shadowgrounds - I had a weird issue once where graphics were a bit wonky but a reboot fixed it and it's worked fine since.
Shadowgrounds Survivor - same perfect perofrmance.
Fear 2 - think I did need to do a compatibility tweak on that. No biggie and as expected.
Fear 3 - works perfectly.
Quake 2 - works perfectly.
Stronghold HD -works perfectly.
Van Helsing I - works perfectly.

So sorry but these are games I've played in recent months so I suspect the error is YOUR system somehow.

Speak for yourself. I use Windows 11.

If it runs on Win 11, get 10 and upgrade to win 11 itf your PC meets the requirements.

You should not be using Win 7 at this point, anyway....at least online.

If you want achievements there are plenty of other games to do that, many with the same motto.

This is hardly an issue specific to this game, and as pointed out, there are workarounds for the issue.

Does it fix that bullshitting mouse acceleration? That's the only problem I have with Q2 (Win11 here) and that's frankly way worse than errors with "certain resolution".

Microsoft gave no such thing, that list was created by an insider months before the official release of W10.
Did you even tried to read what you linked before trying to justify your lies with outdated and irrelevant informations ?

That's not a list by Microsoft, it's just a list by a random user participating in the Insider program (which we all can be part of, mind) on the Microsoft forum from 2015, heavily outdated by now.

I've played quite some games from that list you posted on Windows 10. Most out of the box (or after download) even.

The workaround I listed. The game, Humanity Asset is DRM free. It does not need Steam. Which means it can launch while Steam isn't running. Which further means that it will continue to play on Windows 7 even when Steam stops working. It also means it will play correctly on a Windows 10 install too, if you set up a Windows 7 virtual machine.

And you haven't given me what I asked for. I want to know of a game that will not run on Windows 10 no matter what you try. The games you listed, work or have solutions that get them working. I want to see one with NO solution. A game that cannot be fixed to work on Windows 10 and which is still being sold on Steam.

Rayman origins , on the steam store says compatible only to windows 7, prototype 1 and 2 u have to disable and enable cores whenever u want to play it , max payne 1 and 2 cant even run with AMD gpu , Descent 3 , Requiem Fallen anghel , Killing Time, Older Need for Speed games or pretty much anything that works with secu rom , Assassins creed Revelation, Dragon age origin huge instability problems , L.A. Noir , Splinter Cell conviction works terrible, Lord of the Rings return of the King unplayable , entire Legacy of Kain series can run but extremely tedious , Far Cry 2 playable with the multifixer, Pacific Fighters , Dawn of War 2 need to disable half cores, Beyond good and Evil unplayable , The sims 2 , The Bully , Alone in the Dark , and who knows how many more


All these games dont work or require heavy tweaking and still perform poorly, how many people will have to complain and get scammed , some just dont wanna put in the hours and make their games run, if steam dosent support windows 7 and so on it should not sell the games that have a hard time running on windows 10 or need multifixes to run

Or the very least put a warning sign and say that the game needs to be worked upon to run properly

Most of these games runs on Steam Deck. Games are marked as Playable.

And If those games runs on Deck it means that they plays on normal desktop Linux distros through Proton translator.

Max Payne 1 needs a patch on ANY system if using certain new cpu.
It has so called "jpeg errors". (Ryzen cpu from 3000 series and up, perhaps new intel cpus)

Proton is not perfect and if game has some kind of anti cheat and it is not supported by developers then games do not work.
If I count correct there are ~3 games which are totally borked.
