That decision is a big mistake in my opinion. You could've gave it a year or two before announcing the end of support. Thousands of players will find their game library not available because of this and will be stuck at launch.

Sir Gaben i'm begging you to reconsider your decision or at least extend the timing. A simple tweak in the chromium browser could allow the launcher to keep starting in legacy mode despite the end of support coming in 2024.
I hope that a solution will be found that will please everyone.
Looking forward to the next months!
What?
They gave almost a year warning. There is plenty of time to upgrade your OS(which is free) to continue using the client.
You are not losing the licenses for the games you bought. They will be attached to your account regardless of your access to them. You agreed to these terms when creating a Steam account and for every game you bought in Steam.
There is a solution. Install Windows 11.
Your game licenses are not being revoked and your games will continue to work. The time you spend arguing and resisting can be spent on installing Windows 11 instead.
And for what ? Same mess at the end of w11 ? Be just a litle more serious ...
Why have dinner if you're going to have to have lunch the next day... why breathe if you need to breathe again within a few seconds... why live life if we're all going to die?
What sort of logic is that?
What an interresting answer .... and so smart ... if i had a 6 year kid , it's surely something he could have said.
That's literally on you, though
If you do not ever want to upgrade your operating system or upkeep your PC, buy a console
Awesome! Where is the host itself? What is the file or files that I need to edit? Do I have to configure my router at all?
That's really the way to do it. I made that decision a long time ago. Ge Force Now thru my Xbox, and the latter few Steam games i have, i'm thankful for the opportunity, but given what's going on, literally cannot purchase anymore Steam games.
Not just because of Steam, but GFN can take the games i bought out of their library, leaving me with nothing.
I'm only concerned about my old games i still play on this old duster, and find it even obscene i would have to upgrade my computer, to play 2004 era games.
But this nightmare, a lesson. Console is def the way to go, and given many of these games i've always wanted to play are coming to console anyway, only makes the decision all the more the wiser.
But Valve should really change how they word these matters. You do not and will never "own" the games as you do on console, but simply leasing them contingent on the leasing agreement.
Even consoles have a predetermined lifespan. I own one of the backwards compatible launch day PS3s and it's just stopped here because I can't use it - Sony no longer manufactures DualShock 3 controllers, the knockoffs are just garbage and I'm having a very hard time sourcing one that is either new (and original), or in good condition - even with a lot of money to pay for it.
I kind of like the knock offs lol. They're ok if you buy the right ones. I even use a knock off PS3 controller here on PC. I like the PS3 controller, being it just feels more comfortable in my hands. Try Amazon.
As far as games though, i'll always have that. As long as these used consoles are out there to buy, you'll always have your games even if the console breaks.
1. Just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you.
2. Keep insulting people that don't lick the boots of the state, that's a great way to be civil in discussions.
3. The World Economic Forum is a glorified seminar where the elite publicly publish how they want to enslave us. Neither the WEF or Klaus have actual power or governing authority.
4. There is a data vault that has dirt on every citizen. It's called the NSA. Snowden and Assange proved it. The FBI puts anyone who says "based" or "take the Red Pill" on a watchlist by their own admission and have infiltrated the Extraordinary Latin Mass dioceses of Catholic Church in the past.
