Games are very bad in that regard.
But loosely:
1. FF6 (Kefka is a brilliant villain)
2. FF7 original (really magical game with a superlative all-round cast)
3. The Witcher 2 (leto is probably one of the best inventions in all gaming history, and the opening cinematic is phenomenal)
4. Hollow Knight (it's a masterclass of 'show don't tell' - all of the main narrative can be missed if you don't pay attention to the 'clues', and it is fantastical - they are geniuses really)
5. FF Rebirth (amazing character development of especially underwritten characters like Sephiroth - so far, it is extremely good if rough around the edges)
I actually can't recall any others.
Video game writing is very bad compared to paperback literature. If you don't read it, you'll never know.
Cyperpunk (original) had some very good writing, but the studio has become really evil of late. So they get no kudos from me.

BTW, vote for breath of fire on GOG dreamlist to bring it to pc. I did.
BoF III is one of my all time faves.
Lots of indie games too
