Why does steam keep scrolling to the top of my library when I select a game?

It's just a frustrating bit of UX, I want to be able to go in and out of games on my library without having to find my place again. This feels very recent, is there an update I can roll back?

i wish it would stay in the custom category that u have made, say u have it as fav and say racing, if ur in racing and click back on the game it puts u in the fav section , been slowly removing from my favs cause of this,, really peevs me wits

Same issue here, I hate it. I'm trying to add custom art (covers, banners, logos) to games, but I own several thousand games. So when I click on one, let's say Grand Theft Auto V, then I back out of it, I'm automatically back up to the top of my game list.

Has any figured this out this out yet? I just started having this issue and the best i can find is people having this issue a few years back. The answers I seen were to disable both of these.

1. Enable GPU accelerated rendering in web views (requires restart)
2. Enable smooth scrolling in web views (requires restart)

but it did not work for me so I am just scrounging the net look for anything I can find atm

Could it be linked to custom artwork? Someone mentioned it in one of the posts and i was wondering if this was a common link that is causing this scrolling issue.

From what I am seeing from when people have had this issue in the past I can't find any info connecting that or any mention of that. I have only 1 or 2 customs but I have had them for over a year and never had a issue till today. so I am going to say most likely not the issue but the one thing I did see was the 2 things I mentioned but it was hit or miss if it worked. Now it did not work for me but I thinking its some UI bug because it started randomly working about 2 times but I am not sure what i did to make it happen I can't seem to duplicate it now.

OK so once in awhile if you scroll down then kind of go through a few games then into then the manage download section then go back it will be where it you stopped scrolling but it dosnt work all the time and if your go directly back it resets to the top again as well I tried it on 2 rigs but that's all I can get so far I cant find anything really connecting it but all I know is this is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying when you are trying to go through and see what you want to play and you click one and then it resets back to the top I do not want to scroll back through 1700+ games every time

Well this isn't a solution but I don't normally use big picture mode but I just tested that all over and there was not one issue but like I said it doesn't fix the issue but maybe that helps figure out what is causing it
