Maybe that is why Ubisoft is in serious financial trouble now and are pondering selling the company as they are very close to being bankrupt indeed.
Ubisoft is broke.
And they are surprised that people stop buying their games when they get treated like dirt? Really?
If you are locked out of your Rockstar account it is self inflicted as they have a recovery process unless of course you decided playing fair was not an option.
I've already been circumventing launchers for years now. Funnily enough, anybody the least computer savvy can do without them since games don't require said launchers to actually work. Who would have thought, am I right?
Of course, OP is talking about an online MP game here. That's a completely different can of worm and I'm 100% sure his woes have nothing to do with the launcher itself. Go figure.
But they also have a responsibility to help the customer.
Account name was valid, Password was valid. They can see that with the attempted log ins.
Photo of passport and all the details they wanted were provided.
The no was issued when i could not remember the exact date steam was linking with rockstar.
Out of all the authentication methods, that one could use to verify identify, they want to use that?
When did i link accounts? That info is not even listed in steam as far as i know.
No problem at all. I wont buy their games and i wont cry over the loss. I simply deleted all GTA's from my library permanently.
Problem solved.
This is a written warning to others. Rockstar is a POS company that cares very little for you once they have their money.
A warning of what? Not to make the same mistake you did? A mistake that was entirely of your own making? You moved house and for whatever reason that caused you to lose your email address hosted by your ISP. Perhaps the warning you should be giving is not to use such an easily lost email address for anything important.
Your warning you should also include that people shouldn't delete emails that could prove useful: such as the one Rockstar sent when you linked your R* Social/Launcher to Steam.
But as it is, this topic doesn't read as a warning, it reads as you lashing out because you couldn't provide the information they wanted because of your own mistake.
By all means avoid games using their first-party launchers, but don't pretend this was warning other people when it lacks all relevant information.
Just reinstalling 'flight' simulator with all its addons I bought and all their front ends. and all their wrappers got insane enough for me to not bother spending any more money on flightsim products..
Its just easier to 'not' deal with any of it. Now with companies like rockstar you gotta be signed in just to save your damned game. Even if played single player.
I have not purchased a rockstar game in a long while... and I do not plan to in the future. One of the companies that I have added to my long growing list of companies that pull their bull.
When is enough enough.
For them.. never.. at least until the people get sick enough of it and stop buying. Which I hope happens sooner than later.
Thank you.
They will help when you prove it is your account.
Obviously it is not the specific information they require to prove it is your account.
All linking, unlinking is done on Rockstar's end.
And yet you created a thread.
