It's satisfying seeing negative reviews on ESO
Elder Scrolls Online has been a terrible game ever since its release and it has gotten worse with the new "DLCs" ZeniMax releases to keep making money off the fans. For years and probably even now Elder Scrolls fans defended this game, telling people how its a good game, how it "expands on the lore", and well the recent "DLC" has gotten even more negative reviews than the last ones which is very satisfying to see. Scummy practices and downright lies on their Steam page aside, I really have to ask why would anyone want to pay forty dollars for a small part of Cyrodiil when you can explore entirety of it for twenty dollars in Oblivion. Not just that but the older game offers you way more roleplaying options and dialogue than this money grabbing MMO "RPG". It's a bizarre comparison when we consider there are way more better roleplaying games than Oblivion itself even. I could keep beating the already decaying corpse by comparing how SWTOR offers more roleplaying elements than this game, but at this point it'd be of no use.

The reason I wanted to share my thought on this was because, as I said in the beginning, ESO is a terrible since its release. It's base game is nothing more than a repaint of main story of Oblivion, its vampire and Markarth DLCs are dumbed down versions of Dawnguard and Morrowind main questline put together into some abomination of a story, the main story itself is dumb when you think on how a mortal mage was able to figure out not-Mannimarco's master plan but not the Daedric Prince Molag Bal and imprisoned him sooner. Like I said, I could go on for long about why this game is awful, talk about how even the dialogue is completely non-existent for main character, but again it's like punching a skeleton.

With the Gold Road "DLC" getting negative reviews I really hope the game will slowly start dying soon and Elder Scrolls lore won't be desecrated any further. Although given terrible release of Starfield and Bethesda now working on ES6, I'm afraid we're past that point by now.

Wrong section really.

Post this in Off-topic section, or the specific game forum section.

Why is it wrong section? I thought off-topic is for non-game related conversations while Steam Discussion is for games, no?

No, Steam discussions section is for discussions about Steam app, Steam store functionality, Steam services and so on.

So, your random chat about a specific game does not belong.

Your post is for the ESO game hub, not for here.

I'm not aware that this statement is substantiated anywhere. Neither on the main page of the discussion forums nor in this subsection. Therefore, the 'random chat' applies to you as well.

Same goes to Crazy Tiger. Users do not have the right to force others at their discretion. Just because it suits them at the moment. Furthermore, you both are not official representatives of this platform, even though you post a lot. Therefore, your statements hold no (zero) weight.

Just mentioning it..

As for ESO, I played it for a while and then put it aside early on. I don't even remember why. It was still back in the days when there was the Beth-Launcher. It's definitely not a title that would stay memorable.

That doesn't change the statement and bold type does not help you there either. Where you're right is that there are different categories, but that's about it.

Game discussion = game hub

For example,
You wouldn't post in Steam Linux to discuss playing ESO on Windows.

This section is more to discuss Steam itself or relevant things, ESO discussions belong in ESO, presuming the individual is not banned from the section. Typically we see people negatively discussing a game outside of its hub when people are banned from the hub, which is usually a "do not post" as it makes things worse. Also don't need x, y, z games taking up the entirety of a section that is not for those games.

Dear random person - I cannot even read your name, so your credibility and statements weight are not zero, they are below zero. :)

Dear random person, in this case, education helps, provided the principle is known. Apparently, you can read so that should work but I doubt your understanding given your nonsensical response.

As i said, no matter what you (or any others) write, my statement is indisputable as it is based on the mentioned facts. Even if you (or any others) don't like it.

Thanks for standing by me. If only more people were as outspoken as you are I wouldn't be a misanthrope, but alas courtesy and well-spokenness is a rare kindness to come by.
