I don't think there are many that would say they "need" that. :)

* Luck is just another word for randomness & entropy. Those are very real! :)
So, luck is also real. (but not "digital luck")

Those are concepts. The human mind created those concepts to try to make sense of things it don't understand.

Luck don't exist. Time don't exist. Randomness don't exist. Entropy don't exist.

This kinda reminds me of those people who go to baseball games with a certain item or hat. For example, i once saw this guy bring one of those troll dolls to a game and used to stroke it's hair for luck. As others said, these are concepts. I do believe it is like faith and some people believe in it and others do not.
