Yes. There are specific ways around things.

The games itself are not the problem. Steam not having a verifyable age control system is.
You can buy pornographic content just fine in Germany, IF you proof that you are 18+.
Shops that sell such content have systems for that in place, Steam does not.
"Yes i am 18" is not a reliable system in any form and Steam is refusing for years to introduce such a system for countries that usually demand it for age restricted content.
And now they cant offer those games to German users anymore because of that.

The fault is like 90% on Valve in this case, this was a long time coming with a lot of forwarning for Valve.
But as usual they choose to do nothing.

Purchasing through the sub works too btw.
So you can still purchase everything that's hidden that way.

to buy through Sub-ID you search for the ID of the game on SteamDB and then put it like that:
https://store.steampowered.com/sub/210118/

With /sub/subID/
that way you should still be able to buy.

To find the subID go to the page of the game on SteamDB and click on the Packages tab.
https://steamdb.info/app/723090/subs/
Left row are the subs, you need the ID for the game with the store-page which is marked.

Thanks for confirming another way.

Well, Cyberpunk 2077 is marked as 18+, and i only have to put in a "legal" birthdate to buy it... but other games that are also 18+ are just hidden, how is that making any sense?

I mean, shouldn't Cyberpunk 2077 also be hidden as well?

Just wondering which other games are also marked 18+, but still can be bought without having to jump through any hoops to get to them... besides, i could understand hiding any "violent" games around here, but hiding erotic games? Really?

It is automatically applied to all games with the Adult Only filter. Nothing else.

Well, that's the point, CB2077 was on a list of games hidden from german Steam users in a news article released when this restriction started, but now it's not - so, why are other games with the same "adult only" tag still hidden?

Waiting for the day when steam only sells the counter strike for kids - pillow fight version,
instead of age verification.

For what?

That Valve need to follow our rules?

For making the privacy invasive rules in the first place.
