If you mean a mod named "Fallout Nevada" then it's hardly canon, since... it's a mod, not published by Bethesda.

If you mean fallout NEW VEGAS, then ... obviously,... it's... part of the published story.

If someone other than the publisher of the product made something even if it's available for sale, until the publisher says "this happened", it did not happen.

It's the same reason why the FEAR 1 dlcs Perseus Mandate and whatever are not considered at all canon, and why Adrian Shepherd hasn't 'returned' from Opposing Forces into Half Life, because they weren't actually made BY the original IP owners.

New Vegas is as cannon as it can be. The transition from isometric to FPS is overwhelming for classic cannon followers. From a game prospective New Vegas isn't cannon, because cannon would be isometric. I felt like the game fell apart when I found Harold from Fallout 2 in New Vegas. I said, "What the F8ck is Harold doing over here, he shouldn't even be here. Unless he is immortal he should be f*cking dead." Even if Harold is a mutant it doesn't mean he should live for 100+ years for falling into a vat of FEV. The aspect of NCR is completely cannon, President Sandy started the NCR from Shady Sands and expanded within the Fallout 2 timeline. Smart Deathclaws from vault 13 would lead into something, but was ignored in New Vegas. What is cannon now? It's a butchered history of what a good game used to be.

If you mean Project Nevada, no, Project Nevada is a fan-made mod for the video game "Fallout: New Vegas".

Fallout New Vegas by itself is completely canon though, it's even written by some of the writers from Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 (The Fallout games made before Bethesda bought Fallout).

I know it starts 10 years after 2077 when the bombs dropped, And i know you leave Vault 8 but i just wanted to know if they at least took notes from the FO Bible. By this time, Harold should be with Grey trying to see whats up with the Mutants so are you gonna see stuff like that or not?

Not new Vegas, Nevada. Russian made mod.

And just cause its not directly made from Black isle or because Chris ins;t involved in the writing doesn't mean it cant be cannon. The FO bible gives more than enough to make a compelling adventure out of the FO2 engine.

Im not talking about New Vegas though but i appreciate your input :)

If it sets in 2091 right when Vault City was made, and if it was done right then they could have made a fairly canon adventure within the FO universe.

My question is if they did or not or if all the lore on Nevada is taken off the top of their heads rather than from the FO Bible.

Not true. Given how vast the FO timeline is, You could easily make a FO title using the older Black isle engine and have it can be canon.

Not really. Staying true to the history and the Fallout lore does not make a game canon, since every game will have to have some stuff in it not already in the 'Fallout bible', even if it were only details. The owner of the IP decides what is canon or not. Everything else is canon friendly at best.

Considering that FO Nevada released in 2010(Or somewhere around that time) imo, as long as it follows the timeline and doesn't steer from that timespans lore then i personally consider it canon.
Maybe not in the technical term but in terms of does it follow the FO timeline, At least the 2002 Version considering Nevada starts in 2090(or 91).

But youre just being technical about it. I just wanna know if it follows the timeline and it doesn't alter anything that has to do with the lore.
