well i think GTA has more for the long term.. i play some SR for some time.. and got dead bored from all the OP weapons they got there
Its also more crazy and less realistic then the GTA one

But it may be only me

I liked SR 3 more, you had your own customized char and it was a lot of comedy and fun in it, this game wasn't pretty serious but just fun as hell, interessting missions and freaky characters that will make you laugh all the time, it is significantly shorter than GTA IV. I played through GTA IV until 3/4 of the game twice but I never finished it, I did not like the Russian main character and yeah it is much longer but has more of this annoying "Follow XY" missions etc. , but maybe it is just because Vice City was the first one I ever played and no GTA after it ever impressed me like it did, the whole atmosphere, music, setting, Vercetti, awesome til the max, GTA IV just wasn't mine I think. Saints Row III is a nice experiencing I can really recommend it and in Addition if you have never played it get GTA Vice City it is pure awesomenessm one of the greatest game of all times, like Miami Vice in a Video Game!

saints row all the way
I'm sure gta has more content, 3rd has more lulz.

You can try to make gta look like this

GTA IV Maximum Graphics (Best Graphics Possible) (2013 Graphics Mod)

How strong is your machine, to be honest neither is particularly optimized on pc, they were considered bad ports, but as time has passed and they are old, we've just become fast enough to shrug off the badness.

well saints row the 3rd is one of my fav games in recent history. the gameplay is amazing, lots of humor, like blurred out naked people, lots of customization, upgrade our safe houses, your character, lots of clothes shops etc, tons of fun mini games, the co-op is fun also. the only thing i liked better than saints row 3 was saints row 4, adds in super powers for an even crazier experience. theres also a ton of dlc for both those saints row games. GTA 4 is just like all the other gta games imo, i bought it and got bored of it after a few hours cause it was just more of the same. gta is def a more serious game where saints row is anything goes. i cant choose for you cause i dont know your tastes but for me saints row wins by a mile.

this is an example of saints row humor shove that up their bunghole and launch people into the sky like a firework.

Saints Row 3. I've actually finished that one, which is more than I can say for any of the GTA games. It is more silly and less realistic than the GTA games. There are even purchaseable (NOT real money) upgrades in the game that are basically cheats, like no damage from explosions, no being thrown by explosions, infinite ammo, etc., so if you want to just run around with basically god mode and infinite rockets, you can. If you prefer a more difficult experience, don't purchase those. It's up to you.
