Summer sales vs Winter sales!

Are they about the same? Or which season has better sales? (Higher discounts, more variety of games on sale, longer sale) Just curious :)

I would think the longer a game is out, the more the base price will fall and the "higher" the discount will be. For example, the new Wolfenstein went from $60 to $30 last week. 5-6 months later, the base price is likely to have fallen to $50 and will go on sale for 50%-66% off, obviously cheaper than before.

So I'm gonna have to say Winter sales are the best.

But it will have the new releases from Oct - Nov still near full price ;) So it really doesn't matter.

Both sales have their perks but my honest opinion is the Winter sale is better, It seams to draw better discounts (well it used to anyway, best Steam sales ever were years 2 through 5)Also winter is better, their is nothing better then playing games inside when its -30 outside. I find it harder to be inside during the Summer months playing games when you could be doing so much outside in the awesome weather enjoying the 4 B`s "Beach, Beer , BBQ and Bikinis"

I personally never saw the winter sale, but I have just seen this summer sale and it is awesome

Winter sale with those coals. 2 years ago I think.
You can even get free games, or games with huge discounts, but unfortunately some people abused the system.

Stupid of me spending 20 bucks on some other games which i got like 3-4 games while i could have spent 20 bucks on quake package which cost like 20 bucks (price lowered) and contains about 8 games. I REALLY gave myself a facepalm there. Oh well, theres always next time.

Edit: Forgot to mention it was on summer sales lol.

This summer sale wasn't too bad. Picked up a few games for myself and my nephew. But yea keeping an eye on Humble Bundle, indiegala, bundlestars, gog, greenmangaming, etc. you can find some better deals at times.
