BTW, I didn't see it mentioned, but time played on a free trial counts as play time and if you buy it later may impact whether you can refund the game later on.
E.G., if you play over 2 hours during a free weekend, you probably won't be able to refund the game if you buy it later on and don't like the game.
It says clearly how long the free to play period is. Both in start point and end point.
That does NOT mean it's the window to download and you get to have that free play at your leisure any time after. No, that windows IS the free period.
Some users have reported that you can be playing the game, and if that time threshold is reached you will be booted out a while afterwards.
Look at the price tag.
If there is a single price tag reduced by 100% to zero - you will keep the game once added.
If there is a free to play button (with a timer) and a price tag ( above 0 USD/EUR/whatever ), then you can only play it during the shown period. After it you wont be able to launch the game until you buy it (or goes on another free weekend).
