Is buying Steam keys legit or is it dodgy?
I have always said a big no no to buying keys from other websites like G2A but i saw mortal kombat x for £5 and thought i would give it a shot....Should i do it or just stick with steam?

As long as you dont use any VPN Proxy i dont see any difficulties.

I would say don't do it. Thousands of keys from that site have been revoked because they were bought using methods like fraud. Use a legitimate retailer.

if u gona do it , dont do it too often , steam could ban you for that ... but idk bout the ligitmate of these sites but damn they got some sweet deals some times , i got total war rome 2 few months aftert the release for 10$ , till the date i think i have only seen it that low once... and it was something wierd cos it said the key had to be activated in few days or it would expire

my advice ? buy from trusted sites , like kinguin offers buyer protector and sellers with lots of reputation (legit rep) so u wont gona be scammed

General rule is if it is censored....it isn't a legitimate retailer and is known for selling bad keys. Buy from legitimate retailers.

Nah, not going to do it....Rather pay the extra and play it safe. Steam is my waifu

I buy Steam Keys from all sorts of different sites and never had a problem. With that said I buy from: Green Man Gaming, Bundle Stars, Gamers Gate, Humble Store. There's a few others but these are absolutely 100% legit. If it's a good deal go for it. But beware; I bought what I thought was a Steam Key for the Witcher 3 and it ended up being for GOG. It still worked fine but for a second I was worried.
Also, make sure that the key you are buying if for your region version of the game, on many websites they will have different versions locked to different areas

As a rule of thumb: Use your brain. If the game is 50 bucks and a key is sold for 5, there might be something fishy about it.

I like how your trusted site gets censored :D

From what i've seen, you will not get banned for buying a steam key from another retailer. That is not logical, as things like the Humble Bundle give you steam keys with the bundles you purchase.
