Since when did Steam start distributing movies?
Like how did Valve's Steam service go from a gaming platform, to a movie streaming service? What, did Netflix outsource their employees to Valve or something?

If you think I'm lying, go into the Steam store and find Mad Max movies there.

About three years ago.
They have been doing that for a while now.

there is one major difference between Steam Movies and Netflix movies.

The business model is different when it comes to the content creators paying Valve, thus it allows for more small independent creators to distribute movies. (aka. Steam only gets paid when someone actually buys the movie, not before from the creator as paid rights to distribute)

Also....
Steam Machine without Movies or Music? I don't think they are that stupid....of course they planned that.

There actually has been people asking for this. So Steam listened but kept it strictly gaming related.
