The three numbers on the back of the credit card
The three numbers on the back of the credit card. I have long been concerned about this issue, Steam fills it automatically. If the account is hijacked and that information is filled in automatically??? Shouldn’t the information be asked every time when you buy something?

Maybe it's not Steam but you browser configuration. I don't think Steam can do that anyway

If you're that worried about it then don't save the payment information?

If an account password is changed or authenticator removed Steam automatically wipes all saved credit card information.

Log in at a friend or family member, try to buy something. It won't be filled in.

steam doesn't fill in the ccv codes on checkout

Really weird answers, i think. Shouldn’t they even ask for that three digit code, every time before buying?

Who fills it, it's steam browser? Probably be a security problem if a third party fill it in?

Your browser can remember that info if you allow it. It is a security issue if someone gets access to your PC, but it has nothing to do with Steam.

If you have saved the card with Steam, they won't need CVV at all; they can make payments just fine with just the full card number + expiry date which they can save if you allow them to.

CVV isn't allowed to be saved ever, anyone/anything saving it would be breaking the card security rules.

Would there be any chance of getting an answer from Steam, to this matter?

if you want to input the ccv every time, just dont save the credit card credentials

What browser do you use for checkout?
The field should be marked as "autocomplete = 'off'" and browsers should respect it. Do you use any extensions that might override it?

That has nothing to do with saved credit card information. The CVV is *never* to be saved. It's your proof that you own the card and acts as kind of a password.

No this is a user forum, but again you've already been told Steam doesn't fill that in. If its saved you don't need to enter the info, if its not saved Steam doesn't remember the number, your browser does.

Your accessing the store from your browser not the app right? if so which browser?
