xnb to mp3/wav
so i was going through a game's local files and i wanted to hear some sounds just on their own. but theyre in xnb format and i dont know how to convert them.
does anyone by ant chance know?

Did you tried any of them? I repeat XNBs are archives for resources. Like ZIPs. It will contain grpahic assets, sound assets, text ressources, ...

The guides should tell you how to crack open that archive.

i do as the sites say, but the cmd window just results in an error i dont know how to fix

And the error is reading?
"Doesn't work" is not exactly much information to help you.

Also, I don't know what's linked in the Terraria guide but for the second link it suggests https://github.com/LeonBlade/xnbcli/releases which works fine.

That means you have a file format that can't be read. It's packed by some other means than XNA Game Studio by the looks of it.

Your best guess is to take this to the forums of whatever game this is or do the same what I can do: google your way to a solution.

turns out you need to extract the .xnb file using 7zip and then use the program on it
Can yall help me with extracting the audio files from White Noise Online?
