To players who have tank warfare games - recommendations please

Good afternoon Steam colleagues,

After having efforted "WoT", "War Thunder" and "Arma" I am disappointed at every turn with the 'downside' aspects and recent 'updates' to them.

I am a keen and long time player of CoH2 and appreciate the tank warfare aspects of that game tremendously.

My brother (who is in Western Australia) and I (USA) get together online regularly to play co-op battles and our main 'go to' is WoW. We find that the mechanics, the rewards and the winnable boosts are very fair and the balance in the game is very fair, unlike War Thunder or WoT.

So, we are on the hunt for a stand alone tank warfare game. If we're going to put money into something it's not going to be some "MMO, global, credit card sucker." Period.

We are looking for recommendations for games to buy.. Games that have equivalent, or as near to, graphics of WoW and WoT. Games that can be played "Co-op" with friends online. Games that have a fair and balanced (as near as possible) leveling up systems and that have multiple nation and multiple tank model availability (again, similar to WoW)

the problem is there isnt anything but war thunder.

if you play na world of tanks committed suicide and most of the ones i knew about already shut down. this is actually a great thread i look forward too.

There's "Gunnar HEAT!" but I couldnt get on with it.

But its not at all like WoT etc

Thanks for your input. Rangers - I saw this one 'Tank squad', looking forward to seeing what it's all about. have to give the demo a shot.

I agree with veracsthane - WoT should be renamed "Tank Suicide"...

"Gunnar HEAT", Orlok, I'm going to search that down on Steam, is there a free demo on that do you know?

I would love to play a stand-alone tank warfare game that would allow us to play all the great tank battles that took place on the Eastern front during WW2.
