have a nice day peeps
And that's got bugger all to with triple A or indie - ALL games get this.
And of course lower user count will mitigate this, but so will turning off chat.
If this is a problem to you and you're playing online games where you need to play with others, I recommend doing what I do - alter WHEN you play or where you play.
Because I'm disabled and my body clock is messed up, I can be playing at any time of the day or night. So I've found some optimum times.
If I'm about 6 am in the morning there's virtually nobody on much but you might get the odd other person and they tend to be quiet and do their own thing. This doesn't change much until about lunchtime, when you'll get some people jump in for a sly bit of gaming and they generally are OK as their time is obviously precious.
But once you get to around 4pm when work and schools finish, this is the worst time. Sure, you get most people on, but you also get the chance of the most toxic and annoying people. But come 10pm it stops almost with a finality. And this is the sweet spot - from here to about 2am is when you get the more reasonable mature people who are relishing their quiet time and kick back and play.
And the beauty of this too is that these like minded people will play with you regularly if you reciprocate.
especially the chat ban bunk for multiplayer games. im sorry but you cant convince me anything said in chat is worse then the 10-15 mins of afking i see across the board. they can spam the n word and its still not as bad as the 10-15 mins of blatantly afking. i have never seen anything as crippling as the blantant cheating in 1v1 and afking in team pvp. and no. the companies dont do ♥♥♥♥ about either when compared to the chat bans which are almost always politcal bs or caused by the cheaters and afks as people finally erupt.
heroes of the storm i literally intentionally went to bronze from gold found a premade of bronze players and went to 90% winrate and the only rule was you have to try and if we need something you dont do that toxic "but i dont want to" crap. we where diamond in a week and we had that 90% winrate until gold which it dropped to 80% i think i was the last to quit out right and i was banned after blizzard banned their top streamer because of how broken the ban bot was. every multiplayer game ive touched has worked like this since.
