They already said they use the Working Designs translation, just cleaning up the cringe topical jokes and references from the 90s.
This youtuber believes they will use the working designs translation with new voice acting:

So the voice acting could be good or bad.
Yes! Finally seeing LSSSC and Lunar 2 here!
Having once owned the PS1 versions of both games I can say I am going to be in for a treat once again.
Sadly I still even have the manuals, the maps, the OST that came with it, and the gift packages. I still even own the Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Book version of the strategy guide with the bromides inside the back of the book.
Now if we could only get the Ar tonelico trilogy, the Xenosaga trilogy, and Wild Arms Alter Code F and 2-5.
That would be the second best thing to happen to the world. The first? Kamala Harris losing in a massive landslide like she deserves to. Disgrace to politics.
They are giving you the option to use either the new VAs or the old ones. I'll likely play through it twice. Once using the old and one using the new.
LOL..is that the FELT map? i have that map too and the instruction booklets.
I already suggested on the suggestion forum to bring xenoblade chronicles series to steam. Feel free to post suggestions on there too. Xenosaga is in IP limbo, but we may get the newer xenoblade chronicles possibly since it has newer systems on it that can work pretty well with newer pc's. There is a rumour that Xenoblade Chronicles X may get a remaster. Perhaps if it comes to pc and steam, the other games in the series will follow.

BE AWARE This is a RUMOUR and not substantial information.
Do you have the Arc the LAD set too? It came out a couple years later too from working designs.
Sounds like a plan i would use, but im not selling my old games. I am donating them to a video game museum so future generations can research how they were coded and see the cultural significance in then and how cultural aspects has changed.
Most likely to this one:
https://nvmusa.org/
The developers at Sony who made Wild ARMs have moved on, and are currently working on Armed Fantasia.
Nintendo owns Xenoblade Chronicles, and they won't port anything to Steam. The Xenosaga trilogy is more likely to happen since it's Bandai Namco's IP, who recently released the other Monolith Soft games Baiten Kaitos I & II HD.
There is nothing of value to any of that. Games are compiled products that run on obsolete hardware. Museums don't really need one of many mass produced games. If it was a rare prototype or kit that was dumped or documented, or something like that; it would make more sense for a donation.
If you want to help future generations in researching the code base of old obsolete games, you go after developers who never free their source code and documentation. You push law makers for copyright reform that boosts public domain laws.
