The next step would be asking you for account info or trading your items to "validate" them to try to scam you
If I were to report you for something while we never had any real interaction then support would see right through my attempts and ignore it. Then if a group were to do this then it's safe to assume that the reports will get plain out ignored after the first 10 - 20 because why waste time & effort over something obviously fake?
In fact... if anyone would get into trouble here it wouldn't be the person who got reported for nothing, but rather the people who made the false reports. While I assume it usually gets ignored one could argue that this is also a form of harassment; which is in violation of the TOS.
Completely false, if it was remotely true every top player would be banned.
Yep, I know, just pointing out his claims like many others are false and don't hold up to the slightest logical check
Well then stop shooting yourself in the foot. Mass reports do nothing regardless of how much you claim. If they did do anything any professional player or streamer would be banned 24/7 from people trolling them.
Basic logic.
It's a scam.
There is even an official support page about this scam:
Scam: I Have Been Reported and Will Be Banned
