I think Valve broke something

In the last week I've had games advertised to me that I had already clicked "ignore" on. I suspect a recent server-side update(s) broke the functionality. There's a lot of garbage on steam, so mass ignoring is a necessity.

in the next 2 or 3 months more and more laptops will begin to face the consequences of this issue too which is the first big wave of whats to come in phase five next year (keyboard "acting weird", camera no longer working, touchpad stopping working, microphone and special buttons no longer supported, hdmi and usb issues etc).

I wouldn't worry unless you've got a laptop made out of those weird components that he descrbed.

Thankfully mine is made from ACTUAL silicon-based semiconductors that don't work how he claims, so I think I'm good.

I've also wrapped my laptop in foil just to be safe.

If the many electronics repairs I've been doing for decades is actually wrong because some kid who claims to have got good grades in recent exams says so, who am I to argue against that?

He's right and my life has been a lie - all the repairs I've made and the circuits I've built clearly don't work how I thought and components are actually similar to databases.

I feel rather empty this morning as I can no longer pick up my soldering iron. I think I'll take up knitting.

What you're missing is that as he said, it's all like a database. I've worked on databases a lot when I left school. It was one of my first dogsbody jobs working in computers back in the 1980s. So I'm well armed for it.

So instead of floating green cascading numbers, I see "cell A3 <number>" and so on. I've got this!

I just hope it's not Lotus 123 because that world sucked.

I wonder what the space cadet does for a living? Definitely nothing in the tech/software sphere. He's definitely arm-chairing, but the chair is clearly ripped and weather soaked serving as a homeless bed under a bridge. I'm literally a game/simulation programmer and look at the regarded crap he's trying to convince me of lol. Even if I weren't and we ignore his nonsensical explanations, I have 90% of the things he's said were "effected" and they were/are/and will continue to be fine.

Maybe Lotus 123 will be "effected" when when Captain Shortbus' countdown get's to 123 days lol.

Given that he said he knows these subjects well because he scored As in his most recent tests, he's clearly still at school or college.

That in itself is of course a hilarious claim because you learn very little practical in school as anyone knows.

I would like to hear him pin down the precise time this event is meant to happen but like all conspiracists and charlatans they never do. And then they make excuse when it's long passed like Harold Camping loved to do.

So you're just googling outages and bugs and pretending they're all a part of your nutball prophecy? Outages and bugs are part of life. No different than when the power goes out in your neighbourhood. There's nothing wrong with the power grid, ♥♥♥♥ just happened and will be fixed soon.

Now "Nintendo music" is affected. My prediction was "all streaming software will soon fail" (simply becomes unusable), including Netflix, disney plus, amazon etc.

Many bugs cannot be "fixed" today. Which is what this "Phenomenom" comes down to (reason you cannot fix them): The end of physics.

1. No, none of the things you've stated are "affected".
2. ALL bugs can be fixed, it's just code. Unfixed bugs are simply the result of abandonware(companys' corpos can't be bothered to throw money at it) or incompetence (bethesda softworks).... which none of the services/products you've listed are experiencing.
3. So long as you keep making ♥♥♥♥ up and not providing proof, we're going to continue assuming you're just another conspiracy uncle that will continue to ruin family get togethers.
