I'd much rather learn that Scribblenauts or Shadow of War were FIVE bucks on the 'special offers' queue than be re-RE-reminded WEEK in week OUT that 'triple a' tripe like Lies of P and Call of Duty Remakey Remake are now 50 dollars. Discuss.

If you wishlist a game, you'll know when it's on sale. Specials are just that, specials. Nobody pays for it that I am aware of though. But do know Valve will contact publishers/developers for banner art etc for any planned specials they are planning and the dev/pub is on it.

That's Top Sellers. That means games that are selling well. Obviously the games you want are apparently not Top Sellers.

You'll find Shadow of War much farther down if choose the Show More option. Scribblenauts isn't exactly hot selling material during any sale.

Of course there's SOME "paying for". Valve often contact their devs and ask them if they want to have a promotion and so on. That's how ALL stores work.
