I didn't think about it until it showed up on my home page...
and now I live in constant fear that the one thing I do for fun with my downtime maybe lost forever...

But in all seriousness, just because the creator of a business dies doesn't mean the business just vanishes into the ether and you lose everything. I mean look at Disney. The copyright of The Mouse outlived the cryogenically frozen corpse of Walt Disney himself, and the company is still going to this day even though Walt died back in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 1966! People really need to stop believing everything they see on the internet and actually do a little research into how the real world operates.

Keep in mind that while Steam is not a publicly traded company, there are major investors, there is a board of directors, upper management, etc., that keep the Steam show going. Whether Gabe is with us or not, the show will go on, just like other successful companies whose creator/founder has passed.

Also keep in mind that Gabe Newell is not actively running Steam day to day. At this very moment, he's probably on a yacht, playing a Steam Deck 2 prototype, surrounded by scantily clad, voluptuous beauties who feed him exotic & fancy French finger foods and make sure his glass of champagne is always full.

Well this seems to be the most reasonable thing to assume, and now I look stupid. I didn't think about, or know anything about his family.

Yes, as mentioned earlier I Respect him as a person and I respect peoples privacy, I was not aware of that before hand. I respect him for what he has done and still is doing not only for PC gaming but the entire industry, the man is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ modern legend. Its part of the reason why the person even made that video to exist. because if Gaben wasn't in this would it would not be as awesome as it is now.


Any case I have less reason to worry, I don't think I'm going to be apart of this anymore. I wish I could lock or remove threads, but I can't.
