That said, doesn't sound like stuff I'm interested in anyway.
It's just fact the developers used Steam website to promote a game on different platform that's false advertising and scamming. It's a shady company
The “so what” is uncalled for tbh. If a company is promising to deliver a product for hundreds or thousands of people, and then fails to deliver that product they deserve all of the backlash. It’s not always about what YOU like. Why even comment if this type of genre isn’t your niche? Point is, devs promised a game, they failed to deliver. Its false advertising.
The other thread was also deleted.
*googles it*

There is a side scrolling beat 'em up with some fan service in it. Steam forced them it label it adults only, or Valve would not have allowed it on the store.
Meanwhile Balder's Gate 3 has full sex scenes with nudity, and it does not have an adults only tag.
Do not expect consistency from modern Steam.
I comment because I can. Open forum, you know.
Steam didn't remove it the Devs removed the game and if the steam removed it it was because they caught on the developers suspicious to false advertising
So SHADY LEWD KART AND SUCCUBUS should be removed because those far more "inappropriate " then Boxing Babes
Actually steam did remove it. Was briefly part of the other thread more out of morbid curiosity. Apparently combination of runtime generated AI text combined with one of the devs letting slip the steam message noted one of the characters looking to be of…questionable age…. Is what triggered the takedown. Steam probably nuked the complaint thread as well due to the same, that and one of the two devs is definitely a liability from a PR standpoint…
It to difficult to believe your statement due to I have spoken to the developers when the game was under development and they were very sarcastic and sketchy. there was a guy here on Steam who was supporting the developers at the time WHO IS NOW ON PRIVATE! after the game canceled just suddenly disappeared???? I'm not going to give out his or hers Profile name only to reduce bullying but yes this is why I don't believe Steam is the culprit here.
Both were a bit passive agressive in the thread, one was outright inflammatory though, so kinda checks out with how they were after steam cancelled it. Honestly think you're reading way too much into it from the perspective of someone with no skin in the game looking on from the outside in.
btw.. you do realize that you're now basically advertising for them, right? PSA's only draw more attention to the product / dev., no more and no less.
However, if you checked the developers website as well as YouTube then there was some gameplay available. Not very impressive gameplay, a but shady even from my POV, but still gameplay.
So that wouldn't make you investigate fraud acts?
I mean, game development can be an unpredictable and lengthy process. This is coming from someone who kind of does it on the side as a hobby and avoids posting much outside of a working demo until things are done just because I know I won't be able to keep to a release schedule and it's not really my primary focus. It's also not uncommon for mobile games to also be ported to steam, especially in regards to this....genre.... of game. I'd probably chalk it up more to poor time management, planning, and not looking at the guidelines for what content Steam will allow for in your game before submitting it and then getting it nuked from existence, complaining about it and blaming steam for their poor art direction / use of AI to make content that is literally unverifiable because it's generated live in play session so could vary with each playthrough, etc etc...
