Need help Find the right game and I am looking for a MMO's style game for Social community
Hi, I am not sure where to ask this or if there is a good place to do so. But, I am now 50 and disabled, and looking for a great game with a social side like MMORPGs. I am wanting to get to know people and make friends. I have played EQ (was great days of this kind of content and community), EQ2, WoW, SWTOR, STO, etc I have beta'ed nameless MMOs that where to come out and never did, etc. And, it seems the trend now days is mainly Solo with Co Op until end game and then its force grouping where its not a Community thing, more what do I get out of it. And, when I get, I move on. And then there is the more of a Co Op games, but here you have to already HAVE friends. So, Any suggestions.

What I am looking for is a really fun (which I know is subject to taste and such) game, where I can solo some or if I need space. But where I can and have to group with people to get to know and become friends with. To be able to just sit and talk etc. Back, 20 years ago when WoW/other MMOs where new to the Masses and for years after it was like that, and when it came to raids and such (forced grouping) people help and would go back and help new people. Then about 12 years ago it became very toxic environment for a lot and for years it was. then there was this moment when MMO's kind of regain hold, but very brief. Now its there, but seems really cold and if you have friends there already but if not your more of a means to an end.

I when with the stages as I and the industery grow up. And like most friends RL got between us and we drifted apart. Now, I dont have kids, or job, and because of choices and RL I have a very some select group of friends. And, they dont play MMOs or Co Ops. Or at least at the level I do. Now, I dont play from the moment I am awake until I fall asleep on the keyboard. But, I do play a lot enough to want a community. But, I am looking for a game where I can make friends like I use too. I dont mind trying new things, I dont mind paying a make scene monthly sub, or even a in game market if its not 85% P2W, but more cosmetics. Also willing to pay a monthly too.

I am just finding I like PvP to a level. Can take it or leave it. But if games require it, If I like the game, I will learn how too.

So Suggetion on games!!!!!

Thank you for your time and info you share!!!

Any game you play online is toxic. i used to play online games too, but i quit because too many racists little kids yelling constantly into the game microphone. You try to block them, then a hacker somehow makes the block thing not work anymore and it kicks you out of the game if you report them. I best avoid these type of games myself and just play single player games now.

But if your looking for a game that is a mmo that is fun, try everquest. it has been around forever and most people that play it are hardcore fans nowadays. Most of the toxic people left it for newer mmo's.

You will still run into simps that abuse their overpowered builds though. So be careful.

I also used to play neverwinter nights online which was fun. Mostly it is RPGing as a character and playing the game with others. When i did play it, most people were nice to me when i played it.

Just one big warning, avoid rockstar online games. These games tend to have many hackers that can get you banned from the game. For example, in RDR2 hackers were spamming treasure chest awards that people were picking up. Rockstart auto banned you if you picked them up.

The last time I played this is still had a good community.

I played everquest on rallos zek and then on zek for 9-10 years, there has really been nothing like it since but this was the closest community wise.

I mostly stick to single player games now, MMO's lost something over the years (imo what they lost was consequences for your actions.. even everquest mostly lost this aspect) and most of them think dailies are content. Games become toxic when there are no consequences for being toxic.

I still like the idea of MMO's it's just that PvP without consequences is just griefing, and PvE without the danger of PvP you have no incentive to be all you can be.

I actually liked PVE. But like you, i got tired of all the human waste that is online. I know stick to single player games mostly now. Titan quest is another nice online game, but it is not mmo, just 2 player co-op online.

If you have a friend to play with this was an excellent value for the money while on sale also.

It's like an mmo but two players.
