Best open world...i mean open universe game i ever played. You might find weird worlds. I once found this black and white world where i could fly thru the air with all these bubbles around me. It is so weird to find such surreal worlds too.
It has been getting updates almsot all the time. Newest one is the redux expedition update, which makes old expeditions playable again.
Only if you want your rockstar account hacked and stolen..lol. Plus online is so full of cheaters and hackers they had to add anti cheat software again recently that a bunch of people were complaining about. It did not even work..lol
That game is very hard. I tried a early version of it before. You need to read a 200 page manual to even play it properly, or at least you did. Did they make it more new player friendly?
The Steam version is very approachable, and as the delayed Adventure Mode was finally added to the Steam version, it counts as "open world" per OP's request.

It's a beta release, with a few things still to do before mainline release.
Oh nice they have adventure mode out now. Well good of them to make it more new player friendly. When i tried it like 5 or 6 years ago, i was pretty lost. It took me almost 2 months to figure out how to do things even.
