Autum Sale 2024 or Winter Sale 2024

Just wondering what everyone thinks, wich one is best? cuz im waiting winter cuz of holydays but idk if autum is the same or better or iono

The Winter sale will most likely reward you with a sale trading card for every $5 spent, if you are into that.

Xmas sale tends to sell alot more games than autumn sale, but as others have said, sometimes you get better deals in autumn sale.

If you see a game you like at a good price. Buuy it. There's no assuming that you'll get it as low in the winter sale.

I keep track of regular prices and sale prices on everything on my wish list. There are no decent sale prices for the Autumn sale. They are the same or higher than the prices that are offered through the year. In one case, the game I wanted doubled in price and then was marked to 50% off. Some are so much cheaper on other platforms.

Winter. More products on sales, and steeper discounts usually.

Eventually every game you buy is going to become cheaper, so if the price is right for you and you want to play it, just get it.

Winter is usually best but i have seen sales fluctuate by going higher in Winter over Autumn. If a sale looks good to you i'd suggest grabbing it or you might find it higher next time.

Check steamdb if the sales have new highest % or not. If they have, I'd buy them, if not, I'd wait till the wintersale. Better chances at deeper discounts usually. Though I did buy quite a few things that had 70 or 75% all of a sudden, which usually sat around 40-50%

Other games however did the opposite and went from usual 60% to 40%

Just always check the prices first, especially between autumn and winter sale, its easy to wait another month if it feels like something doesn't have a high enough sale now.

Honestly they're going to be about the same - the only difference is that it's going to be a little less in winter for some games because they're another 2 months older.

They start giving you cards (masked, at least that's what they did in Summer Sale) even before the Winter Sale begins when you craft badges. These masked cards sell for a higher value before the sale begins. How to find out when that starts?
