I actually got gifted some adult games. I do not hide them, but i tell them one of my friends gifted them to me to be silly.
Ok, well most likely it is a bug caused by the silent update to the wishlist. Wait until next patch and it should fix it, or it was caused by maintenance today since it happens all the time on tuesday.
You can contact steam support and leave a ticket about the issue too so they are aware of it.
The update did however unmark my private games. It's unbelievable how much of a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this entire feature is on the forums. Every time the gets brought up in the threads, the thread gets derailed by people that just say "lol pornography" like it's funny, insightful, or adds anything at all to the conversation. And then they close out steam and open their browser to watch their latest cuckhold vids like "lol at least it's not hentai".
There's other reasons for this feature, it's a good feature.
True. Now we can actually remove games off the wishlist too. I had some stuck on there that were removed years ago, but i could not remove them. Now that it got fixed, i can remove them off. I am sure i was not the only one with a game stuck on my wishlist for some reason. The other reason is due to germany age restriction. Steam has to follow countries guidelines.

In a way, the wishlist update was a good update, but like all updates, there are some hiccups with it. I am just confused why steam did not announce the update with a news feed post. Maybe they were afraid german players would swarm steam and overfill the servers to buy delisted games or something.
Because they want to hide their sexual fetishes and their sex game addiction from their friends?
You could just make your profile Invisible or offline. That is why those settings under friends is even there. There is also do not disturb also.
And then you're not open for chat to others or even the person you're trying to not play with. It's two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clicks and you can turn it off.
The question is: Why would I want to make it public? These anti-privacy people are worrisome.
