I don't know...
@Topic
As of today Valve said they want to get the entire Steam Universe running on Steam Deck. They are even working on getting EAC to run on Deck and those games are infact rendered not playable on Linux thus far. I am pretty sure that in the long run you won't lack any of your games on the Deck.
As for the release... only time will tell. Maybe start a support ticket or something and hope for an answer.
Last I had heard, they have EAC running for it, though it requires the developer to enable it somewhere.
Well I didn't follow that specific thing that much because I am not really a multiplayer type of gamer. I've just heared that there were some sort of plans going on and yeah that's it :D
Would be great for the sake of this topic to have a source on that one
If there's an issue getting it to work due to a launcher, then it will not be platinum rated.
But your entire premise seems entirely off. You first claim the game is "Platinum" which basically means the game runs fine. But then you say it has a launcher so it doesn't work
That would basically mean the game isn't' Platinum then....
Platinum on doesnt mean "well it runs great except for this giant launcher that implodes upon load"
Admittedly, I don't know the requirements for "platinum", but when it comes to emulation I'd reserve the highest rating for cases that run perfectly fine out of the box.
Besides that, as the subject specifically mentions Windows -- you could simply buy a Win10 license and ditch the preinstalled Linux.
https://www.protondb.com/ (to see what game is platinum)
But based on the video below, I think my assumptions are wrong. One clue they don't mention the typical work arounds you have todo to configure a silver/gold game to be playable on Linux. Another clue about what games are supported, there's a checkmark next to games to show what runs great on steam deck. I don't know where to find this checkmark on my games in Steam on Desktop.

EDIT: What if you only played switch. Then you found out there's a way to play PC games on a switch-like device. It might swing you in favor of buying a game that has that checkmark or not. I wish it was on the store page is all.
If game has a good rating, then clearly it can run in Linux, and there may be context explaining why it got said rating as well.
Games that uses anti cheat this depends if they work with Linux in the first place, games that uses easyanticheat was a problem because they didn't make a native support, they were, but got cancel for native support, after it was bought out by Epic, so not sure if there any coincidence, or not, few years later ever since Steam deck became a thing, and Steam reach out to EAC, not sure if coincidence again, or not, that suddenly got support to allowing windows version of EAC to support Linux, and not flag people anymore, but drawback is that not automated done, the game devs have to opt into this feature by manually enabling it via their account on Epic online service, so if game Dev don't enable it, the game simply won't work.
So use ProtonDB, it's great site for user's feedback that does testing, and if wonder if game will work you know base on the rating, and information provided by the community. Pro tip want to look for latest version of proton that been used to get good idea, as some old reviews may not get updated, and may no longer be correct when later version of proton releases.
