They both are sold at the stores of the companies who paid for the development of them.

I'm quite certain it will eventually be released on Steam, but not until the pompous individual with the inflated ego and creepy smile has had his way, causing an additional delay. Consequently, the official PC release is scheduled for approximately a year later.

If it was just Ubisoft's Store, then I wold agree, but it isn't just Ubisoft's Store that is getting the game on release.

Alan Wake I would say it is true though, as Epic was also the game's publisher, so that isn't an exclusivity deal, but a publisher using their rights as a publisher.

Same. If the developer chooses it, that is one thing, but to come out and pay them to choose you is simply taking advantage of them and the consumer.... or in the case of ACS, paying to cut out other stores (or even a single store).

I buy Ubisoft games, surprise, on their own client. No need to run two of the things AND I can get 20% off at any point in time I feel like it (on top of whatever other discount they might be running).

Yes, the official PC release is on the same day as on consoles. Of course if people are dumb enough to think pc = steam it is their problem.

The epic version only is a ubi store license which does not need epic at all when it was bought there.... unless on steam where you are forced to start steam too to play those games.
