Coral Island, worth it?
So, I have been looking into getting Coral Island for a bit now but I'm hearing some conflicting things.

I know a lot of people in the cozygames sub-redddit really love it, but I've read some reviews here on Steam that it doesn't feel finished (though to be expected it's still classified as early access) but I recently have been getting a lot of posts online about Humble Bundle restructuring or downsizing or something? I'm wondering if anyone knows if that's going to affect the progress for Coral Island?

I personally recommend not buying ANYTHING Early Access until it's finished. As a matter of fact, it's best to not buy any game at all which isn't finished.

Well I just checked the game page again and it seems the removed the early access on it? Does it mean that last update they just did is them completing it?

This is a question best asked for the game forum.

Despite the removal of the tag, it is basically still in early access. There are many things still not in the game, that are only partly done. Even after the 1.1 patch, there are areas you go to, with bare minimal things in it and an obvious area for a plot/story of some kind to be present.

I have over 80 hours in the game. You really see this, the more you get further into the game.

It also feels like a direct rip of Stardew Valley, but unfinished and less polished. Combat is the biggest joke, imho. They even added a bit of Animal Crossing type things, such as fossils and bug catching.

If you haven't played Stardew Valley, I suggest that one. If you have, and are looking for something very similar and not pixelated, then Coral Island will work out fine. Just keep in mind it is still being worked on.

While it is still being worked on, it has gotten a lot more content than it first had and actually feels like a full game now. I agree that Stardew Valley would be better if you didn't play that yet.

My wife plays Coral Island a lot now though and seems quite happy with the content thats now in the game. I personally haven't played it.

With last update it`s getting pretty close to full game and already has ton of content. It`s one of the better farming games for sure.

My wife is pretty heavy into the whole farming-sim/cozy game thing, and Coral Island is her current obsession. She seems to really be enjoying it quite a bit on both her desktop and on the Steam Deck, and she was very excited about the 1.1 update which fixed a ton and added quite a lot of content.

There was some controversy because it came out of early access probably sooner than it should have, but the 1.1 update seems to tie up those loose ends.
