Well I just checked the game page again and it seems the removed the early access on it? Does it mean that last update they just did is them completing it?
Despite the removal of the tag, it is basically still in early access. There are many things still not in the game, that are only partly done. Even after the 1.1 patch, there are areas you go to, with bare minimal things in it and an obvious area for a plot/story of some kind to be present.
I have over 80 hours in the game. You really see this, the more you get further into the game.
It also feels like a direct rip of Stardew Valley, but unfinished and less polished. Combat is the biggest joke, imho. They even added a bit of Animal Crossing type things, such as fossils and bug catching.
If you haven't played Stardew Valley, I suggest that one. If you have, and are looking for something very similar and not pixelated, then Coral Island will work out fine. Just keep in mind it is still being worked on.
My wife plays Coral Island a lot now though and seems quite happy with the content thats now in the game. I personally haven't played it.
There was some controversy because it came out of early access probably sooner than it should have, but the 1.1 update seems to tie up those loose ends.
