Why is this so anger?
Are people afraid of needing to buy PS+ or something?
The game didn't require a PSN account for 4 months. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Sony decided you needed a PSN account. It doesn't help that PSN is not available in a lot of countries.
Imagine being locked out of your favorite game after months of playing it without issue just because you're not in a country that allows the new system.
It isn't be 'heavily publisized' that every Sony game requires it. It's being told that future releases(using GoT as an example) will require it.
It's akin to career suicide because you have a recent game reaching such massive success and then you try to pick a fight with those fans on a global level.
Reviews have gone up to 38% positive. I think it was 17% positive just a day ago.
Lets see if it goes back to overwhelming positive again.
I didn't forget it because I am not a part of the Helldivers community. Toxicity of the community is a whole different issues not related to the topic at hand.
Sony/Arrowhead offered this game up for sale to X amount of countries right from day one knowing that a lot of paying customers would lose access to the game once they enforced the PSN linking requirement. They took the money and ran, fully willing to leave those customers holding the bag at the end of the day.
The notification on the storepage doesn't absolve sony/arrowhead of the wrongdoing in this situation. Its totally underhanded and thats what PC players are fighting back against.
Especially with next to 0 communication that it was temporary. Even the CEO of Arrowhead admitted that they didn't adequately communicate it as a grace period.
If you trash People for 8 Years, & then just randomly tear down your walls,
& act as if nothing ever happened??
Your gonna get bombed heavily by the People you trashed for 4 to 8 Years...
What did People expect would happen??
Edit: Typo (4 Years Became 8 Years)
Yes, i'm mixing up People who started opening up 4 Years ago,
with Companies that started this 8 Years ago...
Ehhh, but it's fixed... I got this...
Also having to share their personal information with Sony (including a government ID check due to an age verification requirement in the UK) - a company that is well-known to have extremely poor standards for securing said data and probably is something of a record-holder for per capita number of data breaches.
Woke agendas creating turbulence within the industry and it’s not going away. Dei fuelling the fire and corporate greed.
Storylines been attacked and changed to suit those that have motives to alter narratives that have been stable for decades.
Think there’s only one game this year I am looking to purchase, tired of early access, that take years to complete sometimes never, that become incomplete or a complete buggy mess or a complete con, or some companies that try to take advantage of gamers passions.
There are minor exceptions that stand out that show there is still a passion to create wonderful gaming experiences for all. Thou this is slowly becoming a rarity into today’s climate.
I did mention it a few years ago the gaming industry was in decline and in a few more years what will be left?
