if they stopped being greedy for data and money, forcing third party accounts, or third party launchers, or money grabbing any way they can get it, then they wouldnt have these issues.
even more so with these console companies trying to move in on the pc market, which will quickly learn pc players wont stand for the bs.
also to mention, maybe they shouldnt have sold the game in countries that cant have playstation accounts, then changing text on their site from "optional" to "required", or everything else they have done.
they deserve every negative review they get.
in any case, steam is giving refunds for the game, so everyone will be happy getting their money back from a crappy company like sony.
Then users made the mistake of buying a product without reading the store page and the errors when the game launches/goes to multiplayer.
Each side did something incredibly not wise.
it was said to be required so they should not be too surprised
selling it to the people in the 177 countries that cannot sign up was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ move
But users not in those regions have a lot of blame, I'm still amazed that they didn't take 5-10 seconds to read the orange boxes on the Steam page for Helldivers 2. They spent so much time listening to rage-bait youtubers & redditors rather than reading before they buy something.
Gotta love it when the bigwigs think of the most backwards way to fix something and end up just causing more of the very thing they were trying to outright avoid, to outright happen instead
yep, according to the video i watched after you mentioned a video about that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXcGF6TVZOc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1F90thKLFk
also seeing other media site links popping up talking about it.
in any case, i always find it funny how people spread misinformation, without doing an iota of research and just jump straight into insulting people, cause they cant handle someone making complaints about something or games in general that they like and are biased about.
the devs have even mentioned they didnt make it known very well that the PS account would be a requirement going forward, essentially saying its partly their fault, but also that sony is mostly to blame for all the crap going on.
changing text from "optional" to "required" on the PS store, not being a requirement from the start in general, or sony purposely selling the game in countries that arent allowed PS accounts, etc.. etc..
or sony account requirements asking for ID or a photo of you, among other personally identifiable information, that they can then put on their yearly (or sometimes more than once a year) hacked data servers for anyone to get ahold of your information, all because they want to share or sell it to create "personalized sony ads" for you across other websites, not only to be predatory and lure you into buying products, but also make money off advertising.
also to note, the game has had 201,882 negative reviews since may 2nd
another note, is if they make it not required in regions that cant have PS accounts, they will end up having to do it for everyone, as that only proves that the account nonsense is not actually required, they just want your data and accounts, to inflate their company numbers.
I agree with this. Oh, well... maybe one day people will wise up although I do have my doubts.
true
if i knew that psn was not available in my country
i would double check to see what is going on when something requiring it shows up

Imagine being a gamer and against gamer's rights.
now they just need to deal with the discord CM issue and would be nice to remove the nprotect drm bs.
also just learned about ukraine region (and likely other regions) only being allowed to register an account through the PS console, not on the website, luckily for them sony backpeddled.
makes ya wonder, why they were only allowing registration through a console... likely cause they were trying to force people to buy their consoles in those regions... all to make a freaking account
sony seems to like shooting themselves in the foot, with everything they do.
