Yeah I realise my view is maybe slightly on the unusual side. Though I can't get excited about the discounts as most games on sale will be for sale at some point within the next few months for the same, if not larger, discount.
I don't miss them, but to me a Steam sale always has been about the games on sale, not whatever buggy event Valve undercooked.
The last event was the riddle thingy in 2022, iirc. 2021 was the short stories, 2020 was the grand prix. So I'm still clinging on to the hope that 2023 was just an anomaly.
