Report a translation problem
Although I would add, not for individual games' forums particularly, but certainly on these help pages, having all lanugauges available are beneficial as it assists with getting help and many of us can speak other languages.
There are only two possibilities...
The first option is merely impossible basically because there are several words spelled equally but mean different things in different languages.
The second one is quite difficult because either they really ENFORCE it by letting you click a checkbox or what ever which will be an annoying feature for the most part of the community or they make it "optionally" by setting a default language but that will lead to the same problem as you currently have with it.
So afterall I would say your desired filtering options are more or less impossible to realize. However it is only the gameforums that are multilingual if not defined eitherway. Steam Discussion Forums like the one we are currently in are not which means if you find a thread in said language you can report it and it will be moved over to its fitting forum. Same goes for gameforum threads when there are language subforums
Also, while some words are similar in many languages, none are exact, and there are many, many other sites that can automatically identify languages and see the differences. At the very least they could add in a google translate feature to the forums.
It is a lot simpler for people simply to ignore messages written in languages they don't speak.
It’s hard to ignore when you’re trying to find English threads and there’s 10+ pages of non English threads in a row, also, that would still help English speakers, and my other solution is still viable.
Also, google translate is very capable at detecting languages, at least in the sense of seeing whether or not it is a specific language.
So what about those that want the contrary? The inclusion of as many languages as possible as it's meant to be discussions for help?
Dude is just asking for a toggle option. If you don’t want to use it, you don’t have to. It’s really not that deep.
All that text and you couldn't be bothered to look at the posting date.
Still think it's a good idea to implement though, especially for early access games that have large multinational followings.
