Doubt we can go back to hard copies. Developers/publishers love digital too much to take a step back and honestly, so do I. You would be very hard pressed to get enough people to agree to not buy games to pushed the issue.
What content?
online gaming has ruined the 3rd party sale scheme, any time i get a game that doesn't have a online or platform lock i am sure to back it up on a SD card or USB Stick for safe keeping , someday maybe when i get a new windows 12 computer i will load some old games up and see if they even work.
it doesn't matter. Even if they stop selling the games on steam they aren't removed from people who already bought them. Your question makes no sense.
If you already own the game, then it is attached to your account and you can download it again at any time, even after it is removed from the Store. Others just can't buy a copy.
They'll still be in your library, even after being removed from the store, provided you already own them.
You don't understand how it works, Its being removed from sale because thats what the owner wants. If they were being sold physically then the physical copies would also be removed. Any previously purchased copies stay whether its digital or physical.
Iirc, a few of them are putting their games out for free just to get the games out there now.
