Would you just pick a different term for those people? Every commodity and every right you are enjoying is a result of progress. Progress and progressive are words which are used for positive development. If it wasn't for "progress" and "progressive", we'd still be wearing animal skins and foraging for food.
Which is unfortunate. People should not forget to whom they owe their way of life today. I don't know why you are telling ME that, because I most certainly don't condone the sidelining of people responsible for all of it, be they scientists, inventors, humanists, philosophers or writers.
True, progress can't be stopped but that doesn't mean we should forget whom we owe said progress to. But I assume I'm not telling you anything you don't know already. Edit: and regardless whatever some sods in this hub think, I do NOT condone the destructive actions under the false guise of "diversity, equality and inclusion". These terms are being misused by one side of the cultural wars... a side I do not belong to. I don't take sides.
Cancel culture is when a group of often about 10-30 people conspire together to use their 3-5 alt accounts each, to simulate a large outrage. This often combined with the 10-30 people being amataur journalists working at 2-3 blogs each, where they can coordinate and write hit-pieces together.
This altogether let them create a cancel culture where it looks like the entire world is upset over something, when in reality it is barely 50 people worldwide upset.
Now people who play with fire, often end up getting cancelled for real themselves. Like when they post cancellation threats on twitter/X, but 50 000 normal people see the tweet and go tell them to stop harassing others and report the account. At which point they often go private or get banned. Some could call that cancel culture too, but that is just consequence culture where you get what you deserve if you yell out insults in a global channel.
All in all, the curator is a good example that true cancel culture does not exist. 200 000 members, and we have not seen any gaming companies stepping forward apologizing. The gaming companies do not worry about 200 000 upset customers, so why would they worry about anyone complaining online at all? But reality is that they fall for the fake cancel culture tricks where merely a 30ish people collaborate to make fake outrage. Because they think if 50 different blogs talk about a problem, it is real.
Hope that helps clear it up. Cancel Culture is mean people gaming the system.
"ALL INCLUSIVE" does not mean only include people who agree with you...that's exactly what sweet baby inc is doing & it's further proven everytime they ban people for saying thwy DON'T support trans/gay people & that they DON'T want to deal with that stuff in videogames. Again, enjoy being a total hypocrite. :)
Here's a wake-up call for you buddy, you sound just like the bigots whom you detest so much, that enough water splashed on you to wake you up yet?
"You don't like racist and homophobic messaging?! You're just as bad as the bigots that hate other groups of people!"
