Can I see what games that have a playtest?
Like, a tag or something. To see all the games that have a playtest right now.

playtests are things you opt in and get in by invite

Why do that when you can call it “early access” and get people to *pay* for the privilege? 😆

that's different, playtests usually only last a few days / weeks

I prefer demos of finished games.

. I know this is an older post, but the reason Devs don’t do that is because of the way Steam is. When you have a beta test, people are intentionally testing an incomplete game that most definitely has bugs that need fixing.

A lot of people that go into betas do not even understand that it’s an incomplete game that is being adjusted. So basically by putting it early access to people like that, before adjusting and bug testing, would make a bunch of people, that have no idea about the development process, giving bad reviews and talking trash on Steam, despite being told in advance it’s a work in progress.

When you have a play test, people that don’t understand and do malicious things like that, won’t be able to post negative stuff, because the game isn’t released and steam wont even let them post a review, because it’s labeled in steam as an incomplete game.
