Just to confirm, Steam Notifications are broken for everyone right now, right?
Been like this for a day or so. Steam says I have no notifications and all my subscribed discussions are not appearing. It's not just me, right? Somebody hack the Gibson again? Chinese new year sales driving China's player base crazy, like woah? Wazzup ya'll?

Still broken. Please tell me this isn't permanent. I was having the laugh when I posted this a week ago, but now this is very problematic for those of us in support and moderation roles.

Works fine for me. But then again, I still rely on the "old" system because I don't think too much of all the new stuff.

So... check your profile, then add "/commentnotifications/#" to the end of the URL (without the "" obviously). Like I said: never failed me, never bothered with the new stuff because of it.

Thanks for the URL. The notifications used to just take me there until a little while ago - and I didn't realize there was some new system that abandoned it.

They work fine for a bit, then break. Then they work fine for a bit, then break again. Rinse and repeat.

Chat notifications have been problematic (on and off) for me for months. I get them on my phone, but not in the browser or client.

And now broken again. :)

No issues here, other than the usual lack of or delayed notifications for unread chat messages.
Check your Steam Settings > Notifications.
Sometimes a Steam update will reset your custom settings back to default or turn them all off. It may take a relaunch of the client or website or app to make any changes you make stick.

And yes, it's a pain.

Every once in a while my Steam notifications time travel and come back from like a month ago (As in I get notified of week old posts as 'new replies')
It seems there's some sort of (Akamai?) caching bug where old notification data is pushed as new.

It's been happening progressively less times on my end though.

I am curious if the OP is running the Beta Client, the Stable Client, or switching back and forth between them. I stopped running the Beta Client a while ago, but when I was switching back and forth between Beta and Stable my notifs were always getting messed up with every swap.
But what you are thinking of makes sense too.
Sadly, Akamai's portal is limited for people without a registered and logged-in account.

I only have ones where the analysis took ages to let through. Nothing else really.

I personally have a topic stuck in analysis for 4 days or so that may eventually show up as another new notification because Valve.
