Why are items Way, WAY ,WAYY cheaper than on the tf2 non-commmuity market?
I always wondered why. I heard that scammers when you buy real cheap items from them leaks your info. (is it true?) And i alwayed worried about my account getting stealed. So.. is it safe?

Using 3rd party sites are at your own risk.

Anyone claiming otherwise is lying to you.

3rd party sites are overwhelmingly unsafe.
Use at your own risk.
It's best to not give anyone your steam credentials, its intended only for steam, not other sites. People can steal your wallet balance or items if you give 3rd party sites your login either outright, with a delay, or over time.

You should only use steams community market.

They probably sell items that have been stolen from other users that have used their site, which is why they sell them cheaper... also - if they were the same price or more expensive, then there is no incentive for anyone to buy from them..

Don't buy from 3rd party sites..

Yes it's true.

There's a reason using official markets are better - security and guarantees.

Ask yourself this - if you were a scammer and wanted to steal of rob people on a site where there's less comebakc or chance of being caught how would you entice victims?

Maybe putting desirable items up cheaper?

You see the point here?

Third party sites do indeed harbour questionable items, or questionable sellers and even the sites themselves are notoriously questionable too.

You can search these very forums for "help account stolen hacked" to find many threads where people lost access to their account because they logged into a site like this and handed over their Steam account login data.

Best advice - just like in the real world, if you want to buy something, don't go to the dodgy bloke in town selling out of the back of a lorry or buy the cheap Chinese knockoffs from Ebay, buy from where you have at least reasonable confidence the thing is legit or you have certain guarantees.

It's to lure in gullible people. All those third party sites are varying degrees of a scam.

If you want to be safe:
- Only trade through Steam with people you trust.
- Only buy items via the Steam market place.

Anything else is at your own risk. If your items get stolen, Valve will not restore them or compensate you.
If you get hijacked after using these dangerous sites, please don't come back here to cry...
