This can be indicative of someone else having access to your account.

Have you ever been on dodgy skin selling sites or similar gambling or key selling places? If you ever did, or clicked on a link a "friend" sent you in chat, then you've likely given away your account details.

In which case you would need to disinfect your PC IMMEDIATELY using your antivirus suite (and an antimalware suite too). Whatever crap it finds, remove it, and reboot. When it has done so, and NEVER before then you can change your password.

Don't try to change your password before this as you'll just be giving that new password to your scammer as well.

And change your browsing habits in future.

Well, put it this way - you picked it up from SOMEWHERE, and unless you can recall where you've been you are going to likely repeat the same mistakes.

I had something happen where whenever I would close steam, it would automatically log out. My brother and I share a PC but not a steam account, so whenever I would get on I would have to logout of my brother's account and log into mine (same goes for him). Something randomly started happening where it would automatically log us out of steam whenever we close it. It randomly stopped after about a month and neither of us knew how it happened.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
