Store always garbage, or just especially useless today?

Fails to bring me to the purchase page 4 times in a row from main app. Eventually had to give up and login via a web browser instead. Then the fund purchase page itself behaves more or less the same way, taking an ungodly amount of time.
Then it hangs on the purchases verification, progress stops and nothing happens. Re-doing the step a couple of times fixed it, somehow.

As a sweet cherry on top, because of the multiple failures there wasn't enough time to buy all the games before the sale ended. "Oops. looks like you've made too many purchases the past hour, please try again later". Thanks, just what I wanted :)

Is it always this bad?

Of course, I'm just here to complain. But in the off chance that one of the monkeys involved is reading this; you're a store, you've got one job, how hard can it be.

You've been here long enough to know that the first couple hours of a sales event AND the last few hours will always be hammered with people trying to do crap, slowing everything down.

If you stump your toe walking to the store every tuesday, you fix the hump causing the stump. Don't be a chump.
