READ THE FINE PRINT.
Scam or not - you don't want to find yourself out a steam account (just an example :P don't take my word for it - check the facts on your own)
If you don't know - consult an lawyer.
No seriously - don't guess at this.
Frankly I'm with Potato - scam - that or its not worth the effort.
Been discussed in depth here. Most seem to agree it is a money grab and nothing more.
A money grab that may cost you more.
Like I said..not worth it.
these "firms" are ambulance chasers and i've been getting emails/ads to join their lawsuits for months now
That thread started off discussing a different law firm, and devolved from there.
I'm not seeing the downside.
More like without a steam account and your stuff is gone.
Why would Steam let you keep your games/account if you force a refund out of them with a crowbar let alone a nuclear warhead? (Lawsuit)
Common sense says - nope.
Reading the fine print is rather important, but it's also important to not sign realistically, frivolous lawsuits.
You know what else is free money? A bank holdup. And common sense would tell you not to do that. These people are baiting you with the appeal of possible gains. Money you'll never see anyway. You're just planning to piss Steam off because you're being greedy.
Well, true. This is what I really meant but just worded poorly. But to sum up, there's more to lose than to gain. Steam will not just stand there and do nothing about this. Especially when this all seems so baseless. As you said, none of this seems to be worth it at all.
Can't wait to read his nonsense again, like a tape recorder
You just had to utter that name....
at least the OP genuinely curious and serious about answering questions unlike a lot of kids.
That was pretty uncalled for. It seems like today when facts are asked for, names and insults are delivered.
