No one here has magic ball to see discounts for upcoming Winter sale.

Hopefully there will be more enticing sales during Winter Sale. There are some games that i will keep an eye on:

That Project Cars 3... It didn't even enter a sale since Feb 2022. Just ridiculous. It should be at 85% off by now (at least) but publisher just keep that game stuck at base price regardless of any sale. There is a chance that it will be removed from Store before it enters any sale in the future. R I D I C U L O U S.....

Then, there is Commandos 3 HD Remaster. Maybe it will be next August until i see an enticing offer there too. At least it doesn't have the risk of being delisted from Store due to licensing deals.

The Autumn sale and Winter sale are always the same. The only difference is the Winter sale has holiday cards, so if you care about holiday cards it's better to wait to buy games during the Winter sale because you earn holiday cards for buying games.

youll see better sales elsewhere during the winter sale, even now the epic store has steeper discounts if you use the coupon + the sale item on certain games

I Pick Winter Sales, That Is Where I Grab A Credit Card And Start Spending It On Games!

As a general rule yes.

The Winter and Summer sales are always the "big" sales. They're the ones that involve the most publishers so the amount of games will be more.

Simple reason being they're the most well known and therfore most looked forward to. So it's a no brainer to not promote your stuff there.

As for the amount of discounts, nobody can tell you as it entirely depends on the IP owners and what they want to do.

You're not missing much. 2 is probably the best, where I find 1 actually feels closer to a sim (VR experiences with wheel).

Actually, scrap that "Project CARS 2 is no longer available on the Steam store.".

There goes the player base.
I'd go even further and say COMPLETELY ignore Project Cars 3 as it's frankly bloody awful.

1 and 2 had problems but there was obviously good stuff in there and promise of improvement. But 3 is a complete turnaround - they frankly rejkected any sim racing style and went for a blan arcadey style of racing and it really doesn't work.

I'd recommend anyone considering 3 to save their money and go for something like one of the Assetto Corsas or Automobilista.

Unlikely. Non-event sales of individual games can be much better.

I could probably predict the price of 99% of games in the winter sale it's that similar. Even this one is almost identical to the summer with the exception of Dead Space having an additional £5 discount. You can literally go back two years+ on some titles and they have the same familiar discounts. If you're looking for some surprises then it's best to shop elsewhere.
Well so far the Autumn Sale has sucked hard.
