Made in China tag please?
Can we get a made in china tag for games please? Usually it's obvious a game is made there, but occasionally a game will slip past my guard and i'll play it only to find cheap and lazy development with superficial platitudes. American consumers should be aware when a game is trying to make a quick buck before they shell out their lucre.

Today having just looked I have a little over 94,000 titles of various rubbish on ignore. ...
Quite a feat given there are "only" around 75.000 games listed on Steam.

I wonder what youre doing on Steam having delisted the whole cataloge and all games to come for the next several years. :D

Quite a feat or not I have over 94,000 on ignore.
You can take it or you can shove it where you choose I frankly do not give a hoot.

Oh, someone seems butthurt there. I think I'll shove mine where it doesn't hurt as much. :)

... like that doesn't come en masse out of the USA at all. Really never, ever...
you seem a bit limited in your concept of where the good stuff is and isnt...

if people wont buy from some place because of some negative view...
the devs will move to somewhere else get your money... if they havent
already.... twump and his fam is probably getting stuff made in china
right now and selling it to you like its trew blew ewe ess hay..

Atomic Heart comes to mind how the shuffled things around for more positive looking sales...

True but considering that Tencent owns at least 40% of the stock in most games companies, technically they're all Chinese at this point.
EA and ActiBlizz games are made in America.

Thus, country of origin doesn’t mean ♥♥♥♥.

You literally cannot claim an impossible thing as fact.
Nice try though.

You're just another person who blames China for everything wrong.

Are you going to rage hf:s and cs2 with this tag or it's for "spicific devs"?

Can you not just follow a "curator" who is equally sinophobic?

I will give you a hint to quickly figure out if a game is made in China or not:

Look for the available languages in the Store page and if it says only Chinese and English language support, or if it only has Voice support for Chinese Language (regardless of available languages), it is very likely to be "made in China".

I have only one game that is made in China. This one is below:

Steamdb shows just over 83,000 games, some of these are no longer listed for sale though but I don't think that removes the ignore, not 100% sure on that. There's already been 380 in 2024 alone and we're not even two weeks in.

This also doesn't include software, dlc, soundtracks, demo's and things of that nature. There are people that have crossed over 100,000+ on their ignored list. Not something I personally 'get' but it exists.

China isn't the only place poor-quality games are made, so no. You will not get a tag like that.

That's the real point.

It doesn't matter what anyone's feelings are about China or it's games, as it's the simple fact that cutting them out does nothing of any use to anyone.
