I'm getting kinda old. I remember back in the day I too said things like 'communism just hasn't been done properly yet'. That was back when I didn't want to contribute to society yet I still wanted to get paid as well as a CEO of a Fortune 500 Company

That's incorrect, people flock to western capitalist countries from all over the world because they have resulted in the most free, fair and highest standard of human living in known human history. No-one flees to communist countries because it's the most bloodthirsty ideology in human history and is only romanticised by children with under developed brains who have never been near a communist country in their lives.

Even China has a form of capitalism and seems to be doing much better then before. depending on who you talk to they will say many scholars consider the Chinese economic model as an example of authoritarian capitalism, state capitalism or party-state capitalism.

That's the cool trick of capitalism. When people starve in communism, it's communisms fault. When an elderly woman freezes to death in the UK because she can't pay her power bill, that's just an unavoidable tragedy.

Lol, no quite the opposite in most respects. It's a great way to exploit people and keep them down.

What actually has made capitalism work is stiff regulation and small amounts of socialism built in.

It's why countries like Finland and Iceland top the world for societal wealth and health.

Problem is, even the people who work under capitalism often don't get to eat. There are people working 40 or more hours a week and still living out of their vehicles in the USA. Unfettered capitalism is literally the worst possible option. Capitalism only works if there are effective (aka not corrupt) counter balances to it.
