What was the last PC game you bought as a physical disk before adapting Steam?
For a long time, the old way of playing PC Games was to buy a physical box that had the physical disk in it to insert into a drive, install, and play. When Steam came along, everything went digital and physical disks are fading away.

For me it was Wolfenstein (2009).

Im pretty sure it was the City of Villains expansion for City of Heroes and that was more than 15 years ago.

The game came to Steam later but it wasnt here then.

Likely Darksiders, Borderlands with DLCs, and Deus Ex Human Revolution (all in the same order). At the time, I didn't realize that Darksiders and Deus Ex was Steam. Back then, Borderlands was not so that's the first I played.

I think i grabbed a physical copy of "Lost Planet 3" for 5 bucks out of a PC gaming bargin bin at Gamestop in like 2014.
That was my first physical PC game in years at that point and my last till now.

No idea, honestly.

Cryostasis was the last one I recall buying on disk, that I am sure of. There may have been a few more after, but I can't recall the name(s), if any.

Haven't touched anything other then a console or DVD/Blu-ray in a long time and even then, very few as I mainly get digital or rent/subscribe (in the case of movies/shows).

Hmm... I think Penumbra was the very last physical copy I bought and that was like... 2006 or 2007. I can't remember since it's such a long time ago.

I have many of them, from Batman to Diablo II & III, from NFS: The Run to CoJ: Gunslinger.

I mean, i didn't really quit buying game boxes. If I can find one game that i want, as a retail version, i purchase. It is an unrivalled feeling to touch them as a box/DVD. Digital versions can never match this unique feeling. 📀

Most recent things I can find on my shelf are 2016 - Elder Scrolls Online and The Division.
(Diablo 3 was 2012, Dragon Age:Inquisiton 2014, Mass Effect 3 was 2012, Borderlands Pre-sequel was 2014. . .)

For me it's a few Silent Hill games (2003-2004).
